Homemade Hummus

  • 3 cups soaked / cooked chickpeas
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 TBSP tahini
  • 4 TBSP lemon juice
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, peeled and chopped
  • black pepper, paprika, and salt to taste
*option to add a dash of Tabasco and crushed red pepper for a spicy kick! Directions:
  1. Add water and lemon juice to a blender or food processor
  2. Add remaining ingredients and pulse / blend until completely smooth (may take 1 – 2 minutes).
  3. Enjoy with veggies, chips, or any way you like your hummus.
*This can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about a week.
