Personal Gifts
In light of Election Day being behind us, I would like to talk about personal gifts. Everyone has their own special "gift" that can be given to others to help, encourage, or be beneficial in some way. Every candidate that was elected for a public office in this midterm election needs to be prayed for and supported because they all have gifts as well. They were willing to put themselves on the line and become a public figure. And now we must trust that their intentions will be good, and their leadership will be true and just. 1 Peter 4:10 says, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” If you are unsure or doubtful about what your gift or gifts are, I strongly encourage you to do some soul searching and discover what they could be. Because once you’re identify your strengths, you will be able to use them to overcome your weaknesses. This same principle applies to Pilates. Think about planking. You have to learn to identify the strengths in your body so that you can compensate for the places that may be weaker. And because Pilates is all about balance, you will eventually discover that those weak places are harder to find, and the whole body feels strong, long, and capable.
